Residential Mortgages

Residential MortgagesBuying your own home for the first time or moving home should be an enjoyable experience, although financing this can be a concern to many in the current market. Whilst there are still a great many positive options available when buying a property, it is also easy to be confused by these choices and some of the terminology used. We aim to clear away the confusion and assist in making such transactions both successful and as stress-free as possible.

Unlike many, we do not use ‘Best-Buy’ references, as all of our clients’ needs are different; what is appropriate for one is not appropriate for another. Therefore such references are often misleading, with rates and lender criterion changing on an almost daily basis. Instead, we follow the basic principles of gathering information and discussing the individual needs and requirements of our clients, before making a recommendation.

For re-mortgaging, we aim to offer as wide a choice as possible, whilst still following the principles that govern our overall approach. This is particularly important with falling property values, as very often the most appropriate choice may not be the obvious one.

You may have to pay an early repayment charge to your existing lender if you remortgage.
